This Kit packages the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast Camera with the Fujinon A22 x 7.8 ERM/ERD Telephoto lens. The URSA captures up to UHD 4K resolution at 312.5 Mb/s and offers professional SDI, XLR, LANC, and other connectors plus two CFast and two SDXC card slots. The Fujinon lens includes advanced features such as EBC optical coating, inner focus technology, and color fringe effect reduction. Rounding off the package, the rear zoom and focus controls allow for precision control via an electronic zoom module and cable-connected manual focus module.

The Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast Camera is a field and studio production powerhouse. Featuring a native B4 mount for standard 2/3″ broadcast lenses means that the URSA Broadcast will be at home on a studio sled behind a box lens just as much as it will be on the shoulder of a news coverage camera operator. The sensor itself features UHD 4K resolution which can facilitate native UHD recording, or downscaled HD recording for productions that don’t require the extra resolution. Video can be recorded to UHS-II SD cards or CFast 2.0 cards, with the latter capable of recording raw Cinema DNG files for further flexibility in post-production.

High Definition Ready
Many high-definition cameras are hamstrung by insufficient optics. Electronic News Gathering (ENG) lenses traditionally have been built to accommodate standard-definition. This lens is designed specifically with high-definition in mind. The optics increase fidelity, making sure HD footage is crystal clear.
Integral 2x Extender
For instant close-up shots, the lens has a switch that inserts an element that doubles the focal length at any point in the zoom range. Instead of using the zoom function, the extender gives immediate close-up images.
QuickZoom Technology
The lens has an added zoom capability when using the QuickZoom switch. At the touch of a button, the lens can move to full telephoto in less than a second. This provides a no-hassle way of verifying focus.
Internal Focus
The lens element design fitted for the internal focus mechanism greatly reduces aberrations and image distortions. These advances contribute to more balanced imaging from center to edge throughout the aperture range.
