Capture smooth, dramatic action shots from a moving vehicle with Tilta’s stable car mount system Hydra Alien camera rig.
Traditionally, car filming has been notoriously difficult — mounting cameras to vehicles is often a complicated process due to the weight of the film cameras involved and because it involves other support equipment as well as a large crew. The Hydra Alien Car Mounting System was exactly designed to simplify this whole process by adapting perfectly to the DJI RS3 and RS2 gimbals. These gimbals have high powered motors, which means heavier cameras and lenses can be mounted.
The Car Mount System is designed to mount the camera rig to a moving car or vehicle and provide support and stabilization for capturing smooth action shots. This system mounts with a tripod suction system with modular dovetail mounting plates and brackets to create high or low shooting angles.
The Tilta Hydra Alien does shock absorption and cushioning, and its mounting plate can support an additional shock absorbing head or arm for additional stabilization and movement. It also has a power supply to support a separately available gimbal system, such as the DJI RS 3, or RS 2, while mounted.
The Tilta Hydra Alien is designed to be mounted in a variety of configurations to allow filming inside the vehicle, or other adjacent moving vehicles.
