Strengthening the Production Ecosystem
Productions do not succeed on equipment alone. They rely on systems that hold together under pressure, workflows that scale, and teams that understand how everything connects.
Over the past month, Digital Azul has continued strengthening that ecosystem across Live, Motion and Rental. From investing in IP-based communication systems to demonstrating real-world production workflows and expanding our operational infrastructure, each step has a clear purpose: enabling productions to run with greater coherence, control and confidence.
Here is what we have been working on.
Digital Azul strengthens remote production strategy with RTS Intercom Systems NOMAD investment
At ISE 2026, Digital Azul confirmed its investment in the RTS NOMAD IP wireless intercom system from RTS Intercom Systems, in partnership with Portuguese reseller Pantalha.
For us, this is not simply a technology upgrade. It reinforces the communication backbone behind our distributed, multi-location productions and supports the continued evolution of our remote workflows.
As productions become increasingly mobile and geographically spread, a robust IP-based intercom system is central to maintaining editorial and technical coherence across every location.

Digital Azul at the Cine Expo 2026
We spent two days at Cine Expo at Lusófona University speaking with professionals, students and partners about what it really takes to move from idea to production.
On the stand, we demonstrated our Motion Control systems with THOR and Atlas Slider + PTZ, presented Premium Rental options including BURANO, PYXIS 12K, URSA Broadcast G2 and Ember, and discussed professional streaming and multi-camera systems designed for demanding live environments.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share ideas, real challenges and upcoming plans. It was a valuable two days of conversation and exchange.
TV or not TV? Broadcast standards in corporate communications
Corporate communications are evolving. Major corporations and financial institutions are now deploying the same broadcast-grade equipment used by leading broadcasters to connect global teams and deliver strategy with clarity.
In this recent TVBEurope print issue, João Tocha speaks with Kevin Hilton about how this shift is reshaping professional live streaming in the business world, and why resilient, broadcast-quality systems are becoming essential for enterprise communication.

Rental Warehouse Update
You may have seen the update, but in case you missed it: the Digital Azul Rental Warehouse is now back in Campolide, Lisboa, at R. Vieira Lusitano 10A (not 2A).
The space has been fully upgraded to give you more room to prep, test and validate equipment and configurations before heading to set. This is not a rushed collection point. It is a working space where you confirm that everything performs exactly as expected.
Just as importantly, our team is on-site and available. People who know the gear, understand real production constraints, and can help fine-tune setups, identify issues early and suggest better configurations when needed.

Expanding mobile capture into professional workflows
The Blackmagic Camera ProDock transforms how iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max can operate on set. By adding genlock, timecode, external audio, HDMI monitoring and SSD recording, it removes the usual limitations of mobile capture.
For multicamera shoots, LED wall environments and virtual production, sync and monitoring are essential. ProDock allows iPhone footage to drop directly into DaVinci Resolve without manual syncing, making compact devices a credible option in controlled professional setups.
Wireless control, refined on set
The Sony BURANO app brings remote control of exposure, ISO, variable ND with fine steps, focus points and recording formats, all wirelessly.
For cranes, gimbals and complex rigs, this level of control reduces interruptions and speeds up decision-making on set. Fewer physical adjustments mean smoother workflows and greater flexibility for the creative team.
Watch João’s demo to see how we apply this in real production environments.
