SYNOPSIS
How to live April 25th with a 2024’s perspective? A young Portuguese woman immerses herself in the events and stories of the people who took part in the Revolution 50 years ago. The documentary “Cravos para a Revolução” (Carnations for the Revolution) (2024), directed by German Brigitte Kleine, brings a new perspective on April 25. In this film we follow the young Mafalda Fernandes (27) as she unravels this historic day. The documentary interweaves her research with the original testimonies of Celeste Caeiro, Rui Pato, Carlos Matos Gomes, Manuel Tomaz and Adelino Gomes – the real protagonists of 1974. A film that allows you to rediscover the Carnation Revolution through a new and exciting perspective.
