Capturing Big Moments, Anywhere
This month at Digital Azul, we’re taking you behind the scenes on a few recent productions, each one a different example of how we adapt to scale, location, and story.
From motion control at one of Europe’s top eSports events to streaming a 55-ton bell from rural Poland, and continuing global coverage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, our team has been keeping busy, with new tools, smarter workflows, and solid execution.
It’s also been great to see our content producer, Rita Madeira, featured in TVBEurope. Get a glimpse into her journey and approach to production below.

Meet the… content producer
In the recent TVBEurope ‘Meet the…’ series, Rita Madeira, our content producer at Digital Azul, shares her journey through the broadcast industry, from her early production days to leading international broadcasts.
Rita works on a wide range of high-profile projects, including our coverage of the Longines Global Champions Tour and complex live-streaming events. In this interview she talks about the mix of creativity, precision, and adaptability required in her role, as well as how teamwork, problem-solving, and a curious mindset drive her success in the fast-paced world of broadcast production.

Digital Azul Motion at MEO Arena for a eSports Event
When BLAST Premier brought the heat to MEO Arena, Digital Azul Motion was there to ensure every move was captured with precision.
We provided technical support with high-end equipment and crew, including the Atlas Slider Motion Control System, paired with a Sony FX6 camera, a dynamic PTZ Sony BRC-X400 4K Multi-Camera configuration, and a comprehensive 200-meter Fiber Optic line setup — built to handle the speed and scale of top-tier esports.
A production built for champions.

Streaming the World’s Largest Bell from Poland to Brazil
A high-stakes international live transmission in a remote location with limited connectivity.
Last month, Digital Azul was called upon by a Brazilian client to live stream a historic event: the delivery of the world’s largest copper bell, weighing 55 tons, crafted in southern Poland and bound for Brazil.
The location, over two hours from Krakow, posed a serious technical challenge –unstable mobile coverage and no fixed internet. Our single on-site operator deployed an Intinor Direct Link backpack, equipped with 4 x 4G/5G modems and local SIM cards, to aggregate available bandwidth into a stable uplink.
The stream was encoded in H.265 to optimize quality and minimize bandwidth usage, and successfully send the feed to our Lisbon Master Control Room (MCR). From there, the signal was relayed via SRT directly to Brazil.
The success of this broadcast reinforces our ability to deliver reliable, high-quality remote live streams – even in the most challenging environments.

Stage Two of the Global Champions Tour in Mexico City
Shanghai Swans and Emanuele Camilli take the win
The Longines Global Champions Tour continued its international journey with an electrifying second stage in Mexico City, and once again, Digital Azul Live was behind the scenes delivering world-class live coverage.
As the premier international showjumping series, the tour spans 16 iconic locations across four continents, and our GCTV Live Studio plays a central role – ensuring seamless streaming, expert commentary, and dynamic programming for fans around the globe.
Through our remote production model, all operations are managed from the Lisbon Master Control Room, significantly reducing travel costs and environmental impact, while upholding the highest production standards.
Next stop: Shanghai – and we’ll be right there, without leaving Lisbon.
