Crafting Stories with New Technology and Solutions

Every project brings something new. That’s what makes the work interesting, and worth sharing.

In this edition, we’re pleased to take you behind the scenes on two recent case studies, from live broadcast at World Youth Day to fast-paced studio work on The Floor. Both show different ways we adapt to story, scale and location, whether we’re leading production or collaborating closely with partners like MRMC.

We’re also sharing our latest in-house development for the ATLAS slider, now compatible with PTZ cameras for faster, more flexible live deployment. Finally, we’re spotlighting two standout cameras now available from Digital Azul Rental: the Sony BURANO and Canon C80. Read on to see what we’ve been working on.

ATLAS Slider Now Compatible with PTZ Cameras

This month at Digital Azul Motion, we’re proud to introduce our latest in-house development: a new way to operate the ATLAS slider with PTZ cameras.

The ATLAS has always delivered smooth, high-precision movement for cinema and broadcast cameras. Now with our new system, it’s now fully compatible with PTZ models like the Canon CR-N700 and Sony FR7.

This opens up fast and flexible deployment for live events, remote shoots or any production where space, speed and control matter. Same great movement. Much faster setup.

Want to see what the ATLAS Slider can deliver?

For the TV show The Floor, we teamed up with MRMC and Slidekamera to create smooth, controlled movements that brought a new level of energy to the production.

The ATLAS Slider allowed us to capture dynamic, cinematic shots that kept the action engaging and fluid throughout the fast-paced show.

Bringing World Youth Day Lisbon to the World

World Youth Day in Lisbon was a truly historic event, uniting millions from around the world in a shared moment of faith and solidarity. Digital Azul Live played a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of this broadcast, providing multi-camera coverage streamed in 12 languages across FM Radio and YouTube Live.

Looking back, we’re proud to have helped deliver such a significant broadcast, one that transcended borders and brought people together with a positive message that resonated far beyond the event itself.
