Refining the live experience
Live production is where everything happens at once: the noise, the signal, the story. It’s unpredictable, immediate, and deeply collaborative. There’s no second take, only precision, trust, and timing.
That’s the space where we work best. From sporting arenas and outdoor stages to corporate events and hybrid conferences, our teams bring structure and calm to what others see as chaos.
It’s never just about technology; it’s about translating complexity into clarity, keeping the story flowing even when the unexpected happens. And beyond the live floor, there’s always more. Here’s what’s been happening across Digital Azul.
Data-driven storytelling
at the Longines Global Champions Tour
The Longines Global Champions Tour continues to bring together the world’s leading riders and horses, with our team recently wrapping up coverage in Vienna, Rome and Rabat.
At this level, seamless connectivity is a given. The next challenge is clarity: how to make complex data instantly readable for those following the action.
That is why our motion graphics team has focused on developing fast, data-driven visuals that translate live competition data into clear, intuitive information.
Designed and programmed in real time, these graphics give commentators the precision they need to lead the story and allow audiences to see what has happened, what is happening, and what comes next.
With years of broadcast experience and a cinematic approach to live production, the coverage feels effortless, ensuring that the story of sport always stays at the heart of the broadcast.

Expanding reliability with Starlink connectivity
In live production, stable connectivity is not optional; it is mission-critical.
From Riesenbeck to Rabat, we have been testing Starlink in full live broadcast environments, not as a replacement for local connectivity, but as a powerful complement. The system expands total bandwidth and reinforces reliability when networks are under pressure.
Working alongside trusted partners Intinor and LiveU, our team trialled multiple encoders and hybrid IP setups, validating performance across complex live workflows. The results confirm what matters most in live broadcast: redundancy, speed and trust.
With demand for resilient, high-bandwidth systems continuing to grow, Digital Azul Live has expanded its fleet with additional Starlink units, ready to support productions anywhere in the world.

Reliable hybrid production in Copenhagen
Corporate and hybrid events demand the same consistency as a broadcast. In Copenhagen, we delivered the full AV and streaming operation for a global conference that included one plenary and three breakout rooms with live participation from remote speakers.
The goal was simple: a stable, professional experience for both on-site and online attendees. We provided:
● Broadcast-level quality across all spaces.
● Dedicated teams for AV, streaming and live coordination.
● Seamless integration between physical and remote contributors.
The outcome was smooth, reliable delivery that allowed organisers to focus fully on their message while we removed the technical complexity.

A meeting of mindsets in FEED Magazine
Broadcast, cine and AV technologies are no longer separate worlds. As they converge, they are transforming how organisations communicate, deliver content and connect with audiences across corporate, education and live event environments.
In FEED Magazine’s Autumn issue, this convergence takes centre stage in A Meeting of Mindsets. Our CEO, João Tocha, joins other industry leaders to share how the standards of quality and reliability once reserved for broadcast are now setting the benchmark for live and hybrid events – from major conferences to high-end corporate productions.

Full house at Canon Motion LAB
In filmmaking, every movement counts. Behind every memorable image lies a choreography of precision and purpose.
At Digital Azul Motion, we merge cinematic robotics with Canon’s cinema technology to transform motion into meaning, turning the mechanics of a shot into a language of storytelling.
This month, Canon, Blue Online, and the Digital Azul Motion team came together at our Lisbon studios for Canon Motion LAB, exploring how precision tools like motion control and Canon’s high-end cameras work in synchrony to unlock new creative possibilities.
It was a full house, filled with conversation about cinematography, robotics and the balance between art and engineering. A special thank you to Jaime Martínez for leading the demonstrations and to everyone who joined us for an inspiring exchange of ideas.
