Live production updates — From ISE to the Global Stage

It’s been a busy few months at Digital Azul. We kicked off the year at ISE (Integrated Systems Europe), where we joined the conversation on the convergence of AV and broadcast, exploring how this shift is transforming content creation and distribution. At the AV Broadcast Summit, our CEO, João Tocha, spoke about how broadcasters and content creators can adapt traditional workflows for social media and IT/streaming platforms, ensuring high-quality production across multiple channels.

As February drew to a close, we saw the launch of the 2025 Global Champions Tour, where we are proud to be delivering seamless, high-quality broadcasting for this world-class equestrian series again this year.

In this issue, we take a closer look at the latest addition to our mobile broadcast solutions, how we’re expanding our 4K live production capabilities, and the challenges of managing complex multi-camera productions under tight deadlines. We also share a behind-the-scenes look at a recent motion-controlled sequence shot and highlight the scale of our latest global live broadcast.

Expanding 4K Live Production Capabilities

To meet the growing demand for 4K multicam production, Digital Azul Live has strengthened its infrastructure with:

•  An additional kilometer of fiber optic cable, bringing our total to over 3 kilometers.
•  New 12G converters for high-bandwidth signal routing.
•  Support for large-scale events, handling setups with over 10 4K cameras.

This upgrade ensures greater flexibility, extended signal reach, and seamless transmission across major venues, from concert halls to sports arenas.

Pushing the Limits of Motion Control in Music Video Production

Digital Azul Motion recently delivered an uninterrupted 3-minute sequence shot for a music video, using the THOR Motion Control System on a 4-meter rail.

•  Camera: Red Epic Dragon 6K.
•  Lens: Full-frame manual zoom, controlled by THOR’s FIZ motors.
•  Precision: 20 perfectly matching takes for seamless transitions.

This setup allowed for precise, repeatable movement, enhancing storytelling with fluid, dynamic cinematography. Behind-the-scenes footage and the final video will be released soon.
