Supporting Every Stage of the Production Journey

Whether it’s on location covering live sport, supporting voice work in the studio or helping teams find the right tools, we’re focused on helping stories take shape in the right way.

This month we’ve been on the move with GCTV, supporting coverage of the Longines Global Champions Tour while continuing to grow our rental range to meet production demands. We’re also hosting an exclusive Sony BURANO demo day at our Lisbon studios, aimed at DOPs and creatives wanting to see how this adaptable camera fits into different workflows.

We take you behind the scenes of one of Portugal’s largest ever 4K concert recordings, where Digital Azul Live captured Maiara & Maraísa’s high-energy performance using a 20-camera Sony setup and advanced motion systems.

You’ll also find insights from Digital Azul owner and founder João Tocha, on how personalisation is shaping audience connection, and a closer look at the creative process behind our ADR voice work.

Cost reduction and operational efficiency drive remote production adoption

This month, João Tocha was featured in NCS (NewcastStudio), joining other broadcast technology leaders in a discussion on how remote production is reshaping content workflows. The article explores how new standards and cloud technologies are solving long-standing challenges around latency, security, and infrastructure compatibility, making remote production not just possible, but the go-to choice for modern broadcasting.

Personalisation Is the Final Mile

Personalisation is no longer a future concept. It’s already shaping how audiences interact with media, one click, one swipe, one frame at a time. While digital platforms lead the way, much of the broadcast world is still catching up.

In our latest blog, João Tocha looks at how broadcasters can close the gap, rethink audience connection, and bring relevance into every layer of content delivery.

Is your content keeping pace with how audiences really consume media?

Case Study Spotlight: Digital Azul Live at Maiara & Maraísa

The team deployed 20 Sony 4K cameras including the FR7 PTZ, FX9, FX6 and FX3, capturing every moment with cinematic clarity.

The production overcame the challenges of live motion, shifting light and large-scale coordination using Ronin stabilisers, dolly tracks and cranes. The result was a seamless live capture with a smooth path to post-production, setting a new benchmark for concert films.
